Gold Leaves 03:44
Gold Leaves tangerine, gently swaying to her tambourine, flowers dancing cross her soiled feet, I found my dreams down there cannot speak, when the moonlight’s passing over me, I’ll be bathing in your crystal stream, you won’t see me when I’m gone gold leaves blowing let’s wait for the mole where we going let’s take another road gold leaves blowing don’t leave me alone forest breeze, keeps me waiting for your gold leaves to show turn the key, time to wake up from our winter sleep, we’ll catch good dream tonight gold leaves blowing let’s wait for the mole where we going let’s take another road gold leaves blowing don’t leave me alone where we going don’t leave us alone

My Lucky Pal 03:52
stand by the black spring of wonder bury your case where they’ll never know crushed by the weight of our plunder don’t disappoint me friend just want my paradise of fools dance like the fireflies in June hanging upside down your clown spinning round my lucky pal I love your ways don’t let the past pull you under open the gate where the heather grows hold on to nothing grow stronger no printed lines to know just want my paradise of fools dance like the fireflies in June hanging upside down your clown spinning round my lucky pal I’ll wait for you stand aside from father’s house hanging upside down my cloud I’ll wait for you

Feathers 05:45

over the hills singing a song just follow the road nobody’s on taking it slow moving along at the wink of an eye you’re already gone then he lays down in the shade of a tree and falls fast asleep then you wake up to the sound of the rain it’s much too late moving along letting it go just follow the path nobody knows the moon in the pond’s starting to glow you’re singing a sing nobody knows

stay for awhile and take what you want cause I’m ready for the real thing and this waiting feels so lonely games that you play are pains in my day and when I’m better, I still feel hopeless without your feathers, I’m alone again you awaken my soul like rain on the road you’re the stillness of a river in the cool breath of the dawning earth

good morning friend I’m thinking of you I hope you’re feeling fine when the world feels sad just remember the clouds will pass on by just close your eyes the bright sun will shine again on you it’s the perfect day for going under they can’t find us down there we’ll build a bridge across the water we’ll breathe the high mountain air the past is through there’s only this magic moment with you the tall green grass needs some mowing when the morning comes we’ll make a start the big red boat wants some rowing with a helping hand we’ll go far the coast is clear the new day will find you waiting here

about

The Soft Hills Los Angeles, California

LA-based project The Soft Hills create a visceral take on soft-psych indie rock, calling to mind the hypnotic melancholy of the Red House Painters as well as contemporaries like Grizzly Bear or Radiohead.

Songwriter Garrett Hobba started the project in Seattle in 2007. The band, which involves a rotating door of friends and musicians, has toured several times through the US and Europe.
