“Jolly Bird” draws from the sense of the magic and wonder that we feel in childhood, as well as psychedelic experiences and a touch of Pink Floyd/Syd Barrett inspiration. The arrangement came together quickly during band rehearsal. The first time we played the song together things just fell into place and gelled. Jon Peloso recorded some big heartfelt electric guitar tracks on the last chorus, just a few days after his father had passed away.
